    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    Selected candidate will manage a $64M international business, supporting 24 subsidiary international offices and five product groups with a small team of four customer care representatives and perform customer and product group support activities including quotations, country product requirements, export trade compliance, international product support, international documentation, freight forwarder management, key national account relations, international pricing, international marketing, and international dealer relationships. This individual will have direct contact with all levels of responsibility, including owners and executives of US and international major businesses. The successful candidate will have frequent contact with both internal and external personnel along with customer contact that will require professionalism, courtesy, and tact. The candidate should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to resolve wide and varied situations covering all aspects of the business and be able to implement recommendations and decisions regarding these matters. The position requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced customer service environment. They will be a self-starter capable of independent work and possess attention to detail, focusing on accuracy. 

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    • Be aware of country product requirements (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Japan, South Korea)
    • Be knowledgeable on all aspects on export trade compliance.
    • Be knowledgeable on all aspects of international shipping.
    • Professional oral and written communication skills
    • Accurate processing of customer quotations
    • Manage international pricing and all pricing issues.  
    • Knowledge and support of international key national accounts and national account managers
    • EDI order monitoring and maintenance as needed.
    • Excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail
    • Proactive with good decision-making skills, able to work in an empowered environment
    • Team oriented with the ability to effectively interact with co-workers, customers, sales and product groups
    • Product knowledge and the ability to answer questions regarding use and care.
    • Work with product groups on international marketing initiatives
    • Management of international product support initiatives.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in sales/ marketing related field or equivalent job experience
    • 5+ years international sales and/or customer support experience
    • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of international freight terminology, shipping procedures, export trade compliance, and export documentation
    • Ability to plan and coordinate projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team
    • Ability to travel internationally
    • Ability to participate in US and International Trade Shows

     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience supporting large National Account / Chain customers on international business
    • Experience with Auto Quotes
    • Knowledge of export processes including export trade compliance
    • Experience supporting both internal and external customers in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience working in an organization that utilizes the principles of 80/20 principle.
    • Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language a definite plus
