    Job Description

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Reporting to an engineering manager, Co-op students will be assigned various projects during the term of the work period.  They will be responsible for shadowing lab technicians to learn the function and performance of commercial dishwashers, will assist with testing and will also work with engineers.  This will involve understanding all safety policies and risks involved with specific tests being performed.  Project work will include being placed on a team to set up lab machines (commercial dishwashers) in various configurations for testing, loading machines during test runs and recording data as needed.  The Co-op student will also write test reports, will post to the SharePoint test request site and also will be responsible for presenting to engineers and managers an end-of-term report on the projects and results they were involved in during the term.  

    After gaining familiarity with the dishwashers we manufacture, lab work, safety, personnel, etc., a research project will be established so that the student can begin to learn potential design skills in a production development environment.  This project will be dependent on the student’s readiness for the project.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    We seek students with a willingness to learn, are self-starters, have a mechanical/technical aptitude, and can perform analysis. The individual should also be capable of effective oral and written communication.

    THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

    •  Currently pursuing a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
    •  Sophomore or higher class standing
    •  MS Office application proficiency
    •  Problem-solving skills
    •  Ability to work in an office/lab environment
