    Job Description

    ITW Hartness is looking for an enthusiastic Summer 2022 Human Resources Intern to join our HR department. As an intern, you will receive hands-on business training as well as an opportunity to gain real-world experience. This opportunity is designed to cultivate strategic and proactive leaders while learning how to be a HR business partner in a Fortune 200 company.

This position will be based at our headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina.

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    The primary responsibilities of this position will include working in a team environment to provide support in assisting with recruitment, on-boarding, recruitment tracking, and special projects. The special projects will provide exposure to current issues facing our HR team and/or business unit. Professional development and networking opportunities will be built in to the internship as well as the opportunity to be mentored by your peers, teammates, and senior leaders. This internship will allow an individual to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-world Human Resources experiences.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Create a standardized job description template.
    • Optimize HR metrics by creating an automated dashboard.
    • Assist with pre-onboarding processes for new hires.
    • Assist with building a competitive recruiting strategy and sourcing pipeline to attract top and diverse talent.
    • Assist with the implementation of ITW Hartness co-op program.
    • Participate in special 80/20 projects working with the HR team and other business units.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related degree from an accredited university.
    • Willingness to put forth the effort required to get the job done, while upholding high ethical standards. Must work well with others in a team environment.
    • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work alone and with others to develop new concepts and solve problems.
