Job Description

• Assist with metric development and reporting.
• Analyze current processes, recommend equipment and procedural improvements which lead to standard work for operations.
• Analyze data and recommend solutions to decrease equipment downtime.
• Support experiments that lead to our next improvement.
• Work on special projects assessing process/material loss.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate student currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Graduate program for fall 2024.
• Must be able to commit to a 90 - day co-op cycle: May-July and be able to work 40 hours per week for at least 90 days during summer 2024.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.
• Proven problem solving/conflict resolution skills be able to think through issues and arrive at well-thought out conclusions.
• Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible open-minded, positive approach.
• Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Preferred

• Junior or senior level standing in an industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Graduate program.
• Overall cumulative GPA for 3.0 or higher
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse or heavy industrial settings.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical abilities:

• Ability to learn the operation of moderately complex tools, machines, and systems.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems through application of learnings from graduate Engineering education and site mentorship.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $37.00 hourly.
