Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TANK FARM
o Supervise the Unloading of Liquid tankers into the ITW tank system
o Must be able to wok unsupervised
o Set up, direct and supervise tankers in accordance with ITW safety plan
o Daily inventories of tanks and existing capacities
o Full understanding of Hazardous communication and RCRA training
o Working Outdoors on a daily basis
o Maintain accurate inventory in the department. Utilize inventory techniques as directed
by the management. Participate in periodic company physical inventory.
o Maintains housekeeping in the area.
o Other related duties as directed by management. (including filling in with another department on an “as need” basis)
Qualifications
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
o Working knowledge of Hazardous Material Handling and Transportation regulations, with appropriate certificate(s) of training (or be able to acquire them).
o High School graduate- Must be able to read and write English, and perform basic math.
o Must be familiar with computerized inventory control systems.
o 3-4 years of related experience.
o Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Must be able to pass fork truck driver training and obtain OSHA approved license.
o May be required to pass a physical exam for wearing a respirator, which is a requirement for the tank farm operator position.
