Job Description
• Promote a safe workplace and follow all established work policies. • Perform molding, demolding and other manufacturing related duties as required. • Help train and oversee other less experienced manufacturing materials processors to ensure daily production goals are achieved. • Assist Lead-Materials Processor with the operation of manufacturing equipment to produce PVA sponge product meeting product specifications. • Clean and assemble PVA sponge molds. • Follow established process operating and safety procedures. • Contributes to maintain and improve overall company personnel Safety. • Responsible for adhering to all Company, department, quality, and safety procedures. • Perform quality control checks of brushes in process and as final inspection. • Operate production machines i.e., bag sealer, washing machine, cutting equipment, mounting equipment, flow-through system, CRO, core welder, core cleaning system. • Package and label products. • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school graduate or general education degree (GED). • 1-2 years recent or comparable experience working in a manufacturing environment; • Or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. • Ability to see at distance of 20 inches or less to inspect and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. • Ability to use tweezers to remove dirt particles from product. • Ability to read and work from work instructions and drawings. • Ability to follow written instructions. • Good oral and written communication skills. WORK SCHEDULES AVAILLABLE:
MON-THURS 4:30PM-3:00AM
THURS-SUN 6:00PM-4:30AM
Work conditions may include:
• Wet environment. • Tyvek suit required for majority of the shift. • Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment consisting of safety glasses, gloves, face-shield, slip resistant steel or composite toe boots, and full-face respirator. • Clean shaven within OSHA regulations when required to wear a respirator. • Hazardous chemicals handling including skin and respiratory sensitizers, acids and other chemicals. • Computer use. • Wearing of clean room garments including cleanroom suit, gloves and mask, with no makeup or fragrance in clean room. • Clean room temp approximately 65 degrees. • Various analytical equipment and tools.
Physical Demands may include:
• Required to work on feet 10-12 hours per shift. • Fast paced work environment. • Perform various manufacturing tasks requiring ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Prolonged stretches of sitting and/or standing. • Regular attendance is required.
