POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual with a continuous improvement mindset and passionate about learning to join us for summer 2022! This internship is intended to give a rising college junior or senior hands-on experience and exposure to a variety of different engineering- and quality-focused responsibilities throughout the Watertown, WI facility as well as visibility to the broader Shakeproof division.

This internship will also provide an excellent introduction to ITW. This individual will have the opportunity to meet with other interns and ITW leaders across the enterprise, participate in development and networking workshops, learn more about ITW's seven industry-leading segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a new part approval process with the support of engineering, sales, quality, production, & IT.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts for the manufacturing process with a focus on high volume manufacturing lines.
• Test product using laboratory equipment and track performance data.
• Support engineering with the evaluation of customer requirements.
• Assist in the maintenance of engineering department records such as drawings, product specifications, part number controls.
• Input and update engineering files on computer network.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• AutoCAD
• Rising college junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
• Interest in the automotive, industrial, or other manufacturing industries
