Primary Role:
Drive sales growth by managing assigned accounts, writing accurate orders, and building strong customer relationships.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Order Writing & Sales Execution • Visit assigned accounts on a regular route schedule • Write accurate orders for ice cream tubs, novelties, seasonal, and promotional items • Review on-hand inventory prior to ordering and bring back stock up • Adjust orders based on sales trends, seasonality, weather, and store needs • Prevent out-of-stocks and overstock situations • Ensure orders align with company minimums
Account Management & Relationship Building • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts • Build and maintain relationships with store owners, managers, and staff • Communicate promotions, new products, and changes effectively • Address basic service issues and escalate when necessary • Maintain a professional, brand-forward presence in all accounts
Sales Growth & Product Placement • Identify opportunities to increase SKU count and facings • Introduce new products and seasonal items • Recommend freezer placements or expansions when appropriate • Support store resets and promotional transitions • Drive same-store sales growth within assigned territory
Freezer & Product Oversight • Inspect freezers for proper product placement and organization • Verify products are rotated and aligned with planograms • Identify cleanliness, maintenance, or temperature issues (Perform basic freezer cleaning, including Ice removal, Glass cleaning and overall appearance of equipment) • Report equipment or product concerns to operations
Reporting & Communication • Document store visits using company reporting tools • Report out-of-stocks, competitor activity, and customer feedback • Communicate daily and weekly updates to management and operations • Ensure timely and accurate order submission
Compliance & Brand Standards • Follow all company policies and food safety guidelines • Uphold supplier standards and brand presentation • Maintain required documentation and reporting
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Sales growth by account and territory • Order accuracy • Account retention • SKU expansion • Customer satisfaction • Communication and reporting consistency
Personal Vehicle Requirements & Mileage Reimbursement • Must maintain reliable personal transportation for daily route travel • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required • Proof of current auto insurance required and must be maintained
• Ability to transport sales materials, samples, and small equipment as needed • Willingness to travel within assigned territory and adjust routes as business needs change
Mileage Reimbursement • The company will reimburse business-related mileage for use of personal vehicles in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations • Mileage reimbursement will be calculated based on the current Internal Revenue Service (IRS) standard mileage rate, or the rate otherwise established by company policy
