Our Guest Manager / Online Event Host/Emcee Internship position is an exciting opportunity for those interested in communications, events, and PR to get practical, real-world, and field experience in the event and PR industry. This is an excellent opportunity for both established creators as well as curious creatives looking to explore their opportunities in the industry.

An Overview: 

We are looking for a skilled moderator who can create an atmosphere of interest and expectation, add insights, levity, and value. You will be working with the Sponsorship Team and CEO to book guests for events that you will host via our online membership community. You will be working with the community providing information as well as gaining feedback to define what events need to be hosted. You will work with the CEO and events team to host all online events (and some in-person events).

The role entails managing the virtual guest list, welcomes attendees, tees up presenter, drives slides of presentations, vibes with presenter, manages Q&A and closes out event.

What you will do daily:

• Get into the membership community, build relationships with the members, and start smart and motivational conversations within the Community Tribe areas (as well as other social media outlets)
• Gain feedback from the community members to define what events need to be hosted.
• Research, build relationships, and book guests for online and in-person events.
• Become the official host/emcee for all ReSkillify online events (and some in-person events) as well as events for our coaches - emceeing virtual events for groups of up to 300 attendees
• Ensure a seamless transition between sections of the event and keeps the event moving and flowing with energy high at a steady pace within time constraints.
• Engage with attendees to keep events from slipping into awkward silence
• Introduce guests and present them to the community
• Lead groups of 3-6 guests with fun, friendly conversation
• Collect information and making meaningful connections with our guests
• Give a recap of the experience in the outro
• Complete necessary reports
• Immediately and graciously resolving guest service failures
• Troubleshoot tech problems that may occur

What you need to have to qualify for this role:

• Social Media Marketing Experience (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok)
• The ability to research and find key things to post and start conversations about
• Technology Experience: Zoom, Loom, Google Drive, Slack, Microsoft Office, Keynote, SalesForce (a plus), Totango (a plus)
• Energized by speaking in front of a crowd.

• This is a 90-Day Internship to Hire Role - after 90-days if you've proven yourself then a full-time role will be offered at $30,000/yr + Bonus (for the first 90-days, with an increase review 90-days after). It will come with $500 commission based on performance, as well as a transportation and lunch reimbursement when you're in the office.
