  • Responsibilities

    Framatome is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for our Kincardine, Ontario location. 

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Monthly/Quarterly close process, Gross Margin analysis, Journal Entry preparation etc.
    • Business line support – invoice authorizations, CC owner queries, site financial control
    • Bid & proposal support, resource costing
    • People development/support (Project Managers, Project Control Specialists, payroll)
    • Helps develop the operating budget, 4 year plan and prepares reports comparing budget to actual, monitor budget to ensure we are on track, etc.
    • Supports the project team with financial questions/reports
    • Collects and summarizes financial data so that financial management can forecast and report accurate financial results.
    • Takes a lead role in group reporting and analysis activities and frequently interfaces with both internal management and external agencies/ customers, etc.
    • Conducts financial analysis, researches accounting technical issues and assesses best practices.
    • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous process improvement

     

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.  CANDIDATES WHO EXCEED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR A HIGHER LEVEL POSITION.

    • BA/BS in Accounting, Business or related field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree, plus minimum 8 years of related work experience. An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience.

  • Qualifications
    • Overall responsibility for the operation of the Refrigeration Department (within the Engineering function) which includes: management of refrigeration application and design recommendations, oversight of equipment and installation bids and quotes, and schedule.  
    • Accountable for monitoring and alignment of department resources to ensure achievement of objectives, and utilization of 3rd party resources on an as needed basis.
    • Partner with the Inside Sales, Design, Engineering and Installation departments in review of quotes, drawings during the initial pre-project phase and assure department involvement and communication is adequate through project completion.
    • Work with KPSG Installation Services to assure their understanding of the refrigeration solution being proposed, provide review and oversight to their installation quote (intent: cost is in-line with project scope, i.e., successful estimates) on the more complex projects.  Periodically visit customer installation sites to provide council to General Contractors both as a routine and for problematic / complex installations.
    • Work with the Service & Installation Department to assist on warranty issues as they arise (and on a as needed basis). Provide council to the situation at hand to assure an equitable outcome (KPSG and the end customer.
    • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction, including investigating concerns, issue resolution, and communications. Customers may include technician, support staff, management, internal departments, contractors, and clients.
    • Responsible for the oversight of all refrigeration operations related matters including monitoring the status of quotes and orders, as well as monitoring material costing and control.
    • Lead the Refrigeration group in facilitating and managing branch communications and active participation in branch and technician specific meetings to promote sharing of information, open dialogue, and shared understanding of branch performance.
    • Act as the refrigeration go-to individual for changes in technology, regulatory changes, business compliance.  Keep abreast on emerging technology (cost, benefits, and challenges).  Ability to promote cost effective solutions and articulate solution benefits to Sales and the end customer.
