    FLORIDA SOUTHWESTERN STATE COLLEGE is accepting resumes in search of ADJUNCT PROFESSORS, in the SCHOOL OF ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES to join our team of exceptional faculty to teach: English, Foreign Language, Humanities, Philosophy, Political Science, Speech.     THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

    • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
    • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

    Must be conversant in English

    Must be able to read and understand “pick” lists and be able to select and transact correct material in support of shipping and production requirements_REQUIRED SKILLS:_

    • Fork Lift experience
    • Electric, Pallet Jack experience

    REQUIRED ABILITIES:

    Ability to become forklift certified

    • Capable of standing on hard surfaces up to eight hours per day

    • Able to lift 50 pounds, with ease

    • Able to carry 50 pounds without assistance, 25 feet

    • Able to lift from waist to overhead, 30 pounds using both hands

    • Ability to work in manufacturing environment, which can expose one to loud noises, dust, chemicals and varying temperatures

    • Ability to reach, grasp, handle and manipulate items with hands

    • Ability to walk, bend, climb, twist, stoop and squat

    • Ability to wear and use proper personal protective equipment; safety glasses, face shield, gloves, ear plugs or ear muffs and steel-toed safety compliant footwear.PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS OR REQUIREMENTS:

       

      MUST BE 75 INCHES OR LESS IN HEIGHT TO OPERATE FORKLIFT.

    • Ability to step up into forklift

    • Ability to stoop lower than 40-inch racking                                          

    • Eyesight 20/40 driving standard                                                                                                

    • Normal ability to see, distinguish colors (where applicable), and hear      

    • Normal sense of touch

       

       MENTAL EFFORT:  

    • **(All positions require ability to: Access FIS system to obtain current prints, test codes, procedures, process documentation, etc.; the operator must understand and follow the written and unwritten policies and procedures associated with the department; understand and complete all documentation required; be aware of safety, quality, production, and housekeeping goals for the department; be on alert for and report all safety and quality concerns.)
    • Normal concentration/intensity; normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information. Complexity of decision making; normal time pressure of decision making.
