The IHFA (Indiana Healthy Families Alliance) Indiana Navigator supports families across Indiana with enrolling in and maintaining healthcare coverage through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This role provides both in-person and virtual guidance, helping individuals understand eligibility requirements, complete applications, and successfully obtain or renew coverage. The Navigator works closely with families throughout the entire enrollment lifecycle from initial application through renewal, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and a smooth experience. This position also plays a key role in outreach, community engagement, and building partnerships to expand access to healthcare services. This role reports to the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Administrator and is ideal for someone passionate about public health, community impact, and helping underserved populations navigate complex systems. It is a part-time position. Responsibilities: • Perform additional duties as needed • Provide one on one support to individuals and families applying for Medicaid and CHIP • Assist with application completion, document collection, and eligibility clarification • Maintain accurate, secure, and compliant documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards • Stay current on Indiana Medicaid and CHIP policies, guidelines, and updates Qualifications: • 2-3 years of previous experience in healthcare, social services, outreach, or case management is a plus • Associate’s degree required; higher education preferred • Must reside in Indiana • Experience working with diverse populations and communities • Proficient technical skills including Microsoft Office and database systems Compensation: $20 per hour
