    Make a meaningful impact by helping Indiana families access essential healthcare coverage. The IHFA (Indiana Healthy Families Alliance) Indiana Navigator supports individuals and families through every step of the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) enrollment and renewal process. In this role, you will provide personalized guidance both virtually and in person, helping applicants understand eligibility, complete applications, and maintain continuous coverage. You will track application progress, resolve barriers, and serve as a trusted resource for families navigating complex systems. This position also plays an important role in community outreach and partnership building to expand program awareness and access. The Navigator reports to the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Administrator and contributes to a mission driven team focused on improving health outcomes across Indiana. It is a part-time role. Responsibilities: • Provide ongoing support to enrolled families to ensure continuous coverage • Guide applicants through eligibility requirements and required documentation • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations • Monitor application status and proactively resolve issues to ensure timely approvals • Manage referrals and appointments using scheduling and case management tools • Perform additional duties as needed • Complete and submit reports and documentation with a high level of accuracy • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and outreach effectiveness • Assist individuals and families with Medicaid and CHIP applications, enrollment, and renewals • Conduct outreach activities, including events, presentations, and networking opportunities • Stay informed on policy changes related to Indiana Medicaid and CHIP programs • Act as an authorized representative with the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and local organizations Qualifications: • Willing to take and pass a background check and drug screening • Proficient technical skills including Microsoft Office and database systems • 2 to 3 years of experience in healthcare enrollment, social services, case management, or a related field preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service oriented approach • Ability to quickly learn and apply Medicaid and CHIP guidelines • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required • Must obtain Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) Navigator certification within 90 days of hire • Must be a resident of Indiana • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently • Experience working with diverse populations and communities Compensation: $20 per hour
