We are looking for a talented and highly-motivated Pastry Chef to join our team! Our Pastry Chef works alongside the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs to keep the entire kitchen functioning properly. We are looking for creative individuals who have the ability to prepare delicious and visually appealing desserts for our guests.
Essential Job Duties:
Executing recipes from scratch including breads, crackers, pastries, ice creams, sauces, garnishes, and composed desserts
Assisting with the plating of desserts as well as cheese and charcuterie during service
Upholding sanitation standards for food preparation and maintaining organized pastry stations and equipment
Ordering necessary ingredients and maintaining inventory sheets
Communicating with front of house staff on menu education and dessert ingredients
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to provide the highest level of hospitality
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in the pastry arts: 2+ years
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
Ability to follow recipes precisely
Positive attitude and motivation to create exceptional desserts
Ability to adapt to company standards quickly
Willingness to learn and grow
Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or commensurate experience
Ability to lift 30+ lbs
Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day
