Admissions Window Clerk
Purpose/Function: Provide excellent customer service while selling admission tickets to the Museum including special events and programs. Supervisor: VP Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities: - Admission sales to visitors - Computer operations - Cash handling - Opening and closing computer cash registers - Answering phone inquiries - Maintaining a safe and attractive front desk and lobby area Qualifications/skills: Previous hospitality experience (preferred but not required), a cheerful and positive attitude, comfort with handling cash, utilizing electronic point-of-sale equipment, ability to problem solve, welcoming to a diverse audience. Training: Training will be provided by Operations staff on all equipment functions including opening the register, closing the register, general Admission sales, returns, and discounts. Training and/or orientations will also be provided on an as-needed basis for special handling of admission of special event and program guests and attendees, school group check-in, etc. Other specialized training may be needed from time to time for computer updates, special events and/or educational programming.
