Position Overview: Illuminate Church is seeking Media/Tech and Marketing Interns who are passionate about using their technical skills to create a seamless worship experience for our congregation. This unpaid internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic church setting while earning college credits. Responsibilities: Assist with the setup and breakdown of all music sound equipment, ensuring optimal audio quality during worship services and events. Coordinate the setup of audiovisual (A/V) equipment, including projectors, screens, lighting, and cameras. Create engaging and visually appealing lyric, announcement, and sermon slides to complement worship services. Manage the live stream video feed, ensuring a high-quality online experience for remote attendees. Collaborate with the worship and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of worship services and events. Attend weekly planning meetings with the lead pastor and other relevant team members to discuss upcoming services and events. Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to enhance the church's media and tech capabilities. Manage and curate content for Illuminate Church's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more. Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available on the church's mobile app and website. Collaborate with graphic designers to create visually compelling concepts for marketing campaigns, events, and promotions. Write engaging and persuasive copy for Facebook and Instagram ads, as well as other online marketing materials. Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from the online community. Assist in the development and execution of online marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. Participate in team brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for marketing initiatives. Stay informed about current trends in digital marketing and social media to ensure Illuminate Church remains relevant and effective in its communications. Qualifications: Enrolled in a relevant college program, such as Media Production, Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in audiovisual setup and operation, including sound equipment, projectors, cameras, and lighting. Familiarity with graphic design software and the ability to create engaging visual content. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment. A passion for worship and a desire to contribute to creating a transformative worship experience. Enrolled in a relevant college program, such as Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing strategies. Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive copy. Proficiency in using graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Creative mindset and a willingness to contribute fresh ideas to marketing campaigns. A passion for storytelling and the ability to effectively communicate the mission and vision of Illuminate Church.
