    Job Description

    Northwest Tennessee food manufacturer. You will be responsible for maintenance operations, manufacturing equipment, and engineering requirements. Relocation help is available.

    I am specifically looking for someone with experience maintaining Krones packaging equipment, such as fillers, cappers, labelers. Experience with Krones VarioDrive Belt and precise positioning of containers is a plus.

    To qualify, you should have a four-year degree and experience in following procedures that guarantee high standards for food safety and quality.

    I also have openings for talented technicians who have experience maintaining and fine-tuning Krones bottling machinery and packaging equipment. Relocation assistance may be available.

    • Manage technical employees in maintenance of production machinery and associated electrical conduit, cables, piping.
    • Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for operations plant and equipment.
    • Must follow TQM and ISO-14001 quality procedures, and be knowledgeable about OSHA regulations and Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures.
    • Perform safety and sanitation audits and participate in food safety and quality committees.
    • Prepare reports on equipment outages and maintenance.
    • Provide employee training, set performance expectations. Develop department budgets.
    • Oversee the MRO Buyer/Planner in purchasing required materials, parts, and tools.
    • You will also manage automation technicians and the maintenance supervisor.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is ideal, but will consider other degrees.
    • Five to ten years’ experience in maintenance engineering and in a manager role, preferably in a food manufacturing company. Should know HAACP.
    • Should have experience with programmable logic controllers, VFD’s, all types of electrical and mechanical equipment. Be familiar with hydraulic, compressed air systems. Boiler certification is a plus.
    • Successful experience working with peers in manufacturing, vendors, and with outside contractors.
