    Status: 1099 Contract Worker Pay rate: $17 per hour

    Pay Frequency: Monthly

    This entry level position is located in a Christ-centered residential children’s group home for at-risk and commercially exploited (human trafficked victims) girls ages 6-18 years of age located in Orange County, Florida. We are currently mature females only for the Direct Care Worker positions.

    We provide paid orientation, crisis prevention/intervention training, CPR and First Aid. A great applicant is a female who is passionate about at-risk youth, has at least 1 year experience in similar environments, mature, and reliable.

    Job Summary: Direct Care Staff are responsible for supporting a therapeutic environment, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals we serve. Supervision of the clients and the facility, light house cleaning, light cooking, paperwork processing, coordinate client activities, and transporting to appointments and or community events may be needed.

    Specific Job Duties: Assists with client activities, doctors appointments, educational support Conduct bed checks throughout the evening, documenting that clients are in the facility. Respond to client emergencies such as suicide watch or elopement threats Provide wake-up calls for those who have approved appointments/school. Perform general cleaning and housekeeping functions Administrative support- copying, organizing daily paperwork and some data entry as directed. Medication administration Ensure a smooth transition between shifts by giving a shift report to incoming staff Nutrition management (i.e. set up breakfast/assist with lunch preparation) Conduct supply inventories Following and implementing recommended behavioral support plans when engaging with clients Documenting shift reports, incident reports and individual progress notes May be assigned additional duties according to the shift assigned.

    Qualifications/Required Skills: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ability to pass a level II background check, ability to pass a drug screening. Able to work your assigned shift and have own reliable transportation Reliable, organized, thorough and able to follow written and oral directions. Must have good writing skills. Direct Care Workers are required to attend in service trainings and maintain 40 hours of continuing education units per year. A female who is in great physical health, drug and alcohol free. Can lift at least 50 lbs No children allowed in group home.
