General Function:

The Assistant Synchronized Swimming Coach is responsible for providing synchronized swimming instruction to team members in various age groups. The incumbent will write and execute their training programs for their designated swimming group, pending Head Coach Paola’s approval. All coaches are responsible for the appropriate positive behavior of all swim team members during practices and competitions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs assigned coaching responsibilities, which may include practices, recruiting, record keeping & scheduling. Recruits prospective team members & provides information about Imagine Synchro team fee structure.

Attends all staff meetings & trainings as required.

Follows all Imagine Swimming and Imagine Synchro policies, rules regulations & procedures, including emergency procedures. Completes incident & accident reports as necessary.

Assists with overseeing conduct of swim team members at competitions & other team functions. Attends competitions & functions as agreed upon with the Head Coach.

Maintains effective communication with participants & parents. Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills:

Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Current U.S. Synchronized Swimming coach certification or obtain within 30 days of employment. Two or more years Synchronized swimming team experience. Thorough knowledge of skills and stroke mechanics. Ability to lead & motivate team members. Must possess current safety certifications, or obtain within 60 days of hire. Strong communication (written and oral), organizational and leadership skills required.

Salary :

$22.50 - $30/ hour, Commensurate with experience
