Ruby’s Academy is seeking a dependable Substitute Teacher for an immediate opening in our licensed early childhood program. This is a full-time, temporary position through May, with the possibility of future opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can step in confidently, support the classroom, and help maintain the positive, engaging environment our families expect. Individual must be able to implement lesson plans and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for young children (feeding, diapering, potty training, supervision)
• Lead classroom activities
• Supervise students to ensure safety
• Support a fun, structured learning environment
• Encourage positive behavior and social skills
• Follow DSS licensing rules and school procedures
• Use classroom technology such as iPads

Requirements (Must meet DSS standards)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have worked in a licensed South Carolina Child Care Center within the last 6 months
• Negative TB test
• Reliable, organized, and professional
• Comfortable working full-time schedule through May
• Able to start March 30, 2026
