Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Immigration Paralegal with extensive experience handling Immigration Court (EOIR) cases to join our growing team of legal professionals. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys in all aspects of removal defense and litigation, ensuring compliance with court deadlines, preparing legal filings, maintaining case organization, and providing exceptional client service throughout the legal process.
Duties
Manage a high-volume caseload involving Immigration Court (EOIR) matters.
Prepare comprehensive evidence packets, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks for hearings.
Maintain and monitor all court deadlines, hearing dates, filing deadlines, and attorney calendars.
Track case status through EOIR ECAS and other government systems.
Conduct detailed client interviews to gather facts, supporting documentation, and case updates.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress, document requests, and hearing preparation.
Organize and maintain accurate electronic case files.
Assist attorneys in preparing for Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings.
Prepare case chronologies, legal summaries, and litigation support materials.
Ensure all filings comply with EOIR rules, court procedures, and filing requirements.
Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an immigration Paralegal with a strong focus on Immigration Court (EOIR) cases.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
Strong legal writing and document drafting abilities.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
Professionalism and sound judgment.
