Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide client technical support for IFS computer hardware, software, and services.

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Demonstrate the ability to be proactive in the identification of problem areas affecting the IT Department’s performance and reviewing these items with recommendations to the IT Manager.
• Demonstrate the ability to schedule tasks to maximize efficiency across all warehouses and the cooperate building.
• Conducts questions of priority with the IT Manager on an as needed basis.
• Periodic contact is required with users including all levels of management and customers.
• Maintain security and confidentially of sensitive IFS data.
• Provide computer hardware support to include desktops, laptops, handheld barcode scanners, and vehicle mounted computer units (VMUs). Printer support includes, networked printers, print servers, and thermal label printers (SATO, ZEBRA, and UPS). Other hardware supported includes Wireless access points and computers used for specialized support functions (HVAC, Security Camera, and Security Access Control).
• Completes new computer setup, IFS network configuration and printer setup for IFS users.
• Completes new printer setup and installation to the IFS network as required.
• Monitor backup software daily for completeness and expected backup results.
• Provides IFS network administration functions for user accounts, passwords, permissions, and folder access.
• Provide administration functions for Office 365.
• Provide ad-hoc support for other server-based software including Time Clock, QuickBooks, HVAC, and Security Access System.
• Increase knowledge base for limited administration support for Desktop and server-based antivirus.
• Assists in resolution of on-site and off-site customer hardware and or software problems.
• Provide limited support and connection activities duties with telephone vendor liaison duties.
• Assists with telephone training for IFS users.
• Rotate on-call technical support with the IT Manager for second shift and weekends when the warehouse is working. Document all on-call activities and review with the IT Manager.
• Additional duties as may be assigned

TRAINING/ SKILLS

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience
• Experience with Server Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN Networking including 802.1Q Vlans.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with Active Directory.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with Windows Server 2012
• Must be able to install, move, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• 4 year degree required.
• A+ and Network+ certifications required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English required. Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including WORD and EXCEL (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc)
