  • Responsibilities

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    Overall responsibilities include accurate accounting and reporting of inventory levels of finished goods, raw, and packaging materials to satisfy customer requirements in a superior manner.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Three to five years of inventory control, physical inventory, cycle counting, inventory analysis, and shop-floor (WMS) system troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Experience in material planning, production planning, purchasing, distribution, or warehousing is a plus.

    Strong mathematical skills.

    Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

    Strong organizational and planning proficiency.

    In-depth knowledge of computer software applications, including but not restricted to, Microsoft Office products and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) packages. IQMS experience a STRONG plus.

    Willingness to support internal and external customers by responding to their needs with the appropriate sense of urgency.

    Experience setting up and maintaining a WMS (Warehouse Management System) a plus.

    Familiarity in continuous improvement programs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Develop, maintain, and execute the end-of-run and cycle counting procedures to ensure upper 90 percentile accuracy of plant inventory.

    2. Investigate all inventory discrepancies, determine the cause, and develop procedures to prevent future similar discrepancies.

    3. Organize and lead periodical physical inventories.

    4. Develop expert skills with IQMS.

    5. Monitor and analyze inventory activity within IQMS and troubleshoot problems in order to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

    6. Maintain all inventory control-related procedures in the plant.

    7. Actively supports and participates in Continuous Improvement efforts at the plant level.

    8. Continues personal growth and development through the application of on-the-job training, seeking out and attending outside seminars, and attending ongoing training programs.

    9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    Spends approximately 50% of the shift standing, walking, stooping, bending, or lifting. 25% of the time on a sit down electric forklift.

    Must enforce all safety procedures and GMP’s.

    Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed for special projects.

    Must wear safety equipment as prescribed when performing functions outside the office environment.
