    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    Lead and manage the design and development of new products. Provide value-added engineering and design support to help the improvement of existing products. Support sale, maintenance, and production with engineering and design support. 

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Working with the core team on designing and developing new products to help advance Impacts product offerings.
    • Produce detailed designs and/or CAD drawings, acting as technical expert on products and processes. Support Sale and Marketing team with product drawing and technical product support.
    • Analyze product concepts supplied by customer and provide design support and/or feedback to help make product manufacturable based on Impact capabilities. 
    • Develop and review design prototypes, perform test and finalize product design to facilitate mass production.
    • Perform market researches to understand market requirements and initiate innovative product development.
    • Analyze new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionality for all new product development.
    • Work with supply chain team on sourcing components, tooling, and materials for new products in development.
    • Analyze product cost and prepare schedule plans for effective implementation of projects.
    • Create product bill of materials (BOM) for new products and updated BOM on existing products.
    • Prepare comprehensive project plans with technical objectives and detailed cost estimates.
    • Promote continuous product improvement initiatives for next generation or existing products.
    • Analyze and perform quantitative assessment of design prototypes in line with regulatory and industry norms to tackle all regulatory and marketing issues.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
    • 3-5 years of revelant experience in plastics manufacturing preferred
    • Experience in SolidWorks is required
    • Good written and verbal skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
