    Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist to fill an opening with a long-term care and sub-acute facility located in Jersey City, New Jersey

    Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist:

    • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • Must have current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of infection control experience OR certification in infection control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)

    Benefits of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist:

    • The salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 / yr (Based on experience)

    Schedule of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist:

    • This is for a Full-time position
    • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

    Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist:

    • Assists and participates in the development, organization, and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies/procedures, job descriptions, and standards of nursing care in accordance with the goals of the center; commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Center;
    • Confers with the Director of Nursing in assessing the quality of nursing care being delivered and recognizes the need for improving or changing nursing practices;
    • Assists with the development, direction, participation, and evaluation of the orientation program for nursing personnel; responsible for orientation of new nursing employees.
    • Makes daily rounds to evaluate resident/patient care, and employee performance relative to infection control and nursing practices; assists with educational needs;
    • Remains cognizant of legal aspects of nursing practice as well as government regulations regarding infection control; demonstrates this in teaching, supervision, and evaluation of resident care
    • Participates in internal audit of nursing practice and in the plan of correction when deficits are identified; audits the following on a monthly basis
    • Conducts and retains New Hire physicals and New Hire medical records
    • Assistance with scheduling when needed
    • Assist with the education of staff during In-Services and General Orientation
    • Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) preferred
