Oil and Gas Industry Modelling Analyst – This position requires experience and knowledge using industry online simulation platforms to collect and analyzing oil well data, in conjunction with Oil and Gas Exploration and Production.

Position Summary: In conjunction with sales teams, the overall responsibility of this role is to support the promotion and sales of wireline intervention products, using SMART Planner modelling technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as primary Modelling Analyst for wireline intervention prospects and jobs; including compiling knowledgeable proposals utilizing ISI conveyance tools, using SMART Planner, the ISI online simulation platform (or equivalent). Acts as an ‘authority’ on conveyance modelling techniques and applications.

Advises the Intelligent Conveyance Specialists team on the success probability for each potential wireline intervention, including, but not limited to; optimum toolstring design; recommended ISI downhole products and positioning; jar settings and the resultant weights and forces promoting the use of ISI tools.

Offers expert modelling and data analysis advice to internal and external customers; including internal teams, clients; service and/or operating company stakeholders.

Participates in sales / pre-job meetings where modelling expertise and presentation skills are required. Provides, demonstrations and conducts presentations to internal and external customers in support of the sales team or other stake holders.

Recommends the use of existing products in the first instance but uses necessary experience to recommend alternative solutions where necessary.

Ensures all lessons learned, including product improvement opportunities, are captured, administered and utilized correctly.

Collects, analyzes, and reports post job data to sales team, and / or client, on the accuracy of the pre-job model and to improve the accuracy of future, similar simulations.

Engages in feedback and offers suggestions toward the improvement of SMART Planner functionally in all areas and specifically in reporting or in work- flow improvements.

Assists in the creation, upkeep and improvement of SMART Planner documentation and training materials.

Plans, schedules and executes business workload to agreed timescales; paying special attention to execute internal and external customer requests quickly and accurately, despite the day of the week or hour of the day.

Assists other ISI departments in the creation of modelling marketing materials and sales related case studies.

Travels, domestically and internationally, as needed to conduct business.

Environment and Physical Demands This full - time job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The position requires various modes of business travel where the need to lift or carry personal travel bags may apply.

While largely a sedentary role; some duties at the client site may require the ability to use manual acuity or lift under 20 pounds. The employee may infrequently need to bend, climb at low levels and /or stand as necessary.
