    TECHNICAL WRITER

    IMPACT SELECTOR INTERNATIONAL

    As part of the oil and gas industry, Impact Selector focuses on wireline and slickline conveyance via a portfolio of tools and software including technologically advanced impact jars, market leading roller systems, sensor subs and wireline simulation software. Our goal is to substantially reduce and mostly eliminate problems encountered by customers with tool string deployments in well intervention and formation evaluation operations.

    We are currently seeking a Technical Writer with at 3 to 5 years mechanical experience in creating detailed product and service documentation.

    REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

    Must have hands on Solidworks experience

    Technical Writing Experience special to engineering and mechanics

    Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and PDF

    Preferred engineering degree

    Wireline experience preferred but not mandatory

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    In conjunction with the Engineering and product support staff, the overall responsibility of the role is to develop, write and edit material for product manuals focused on tool operations and function. This includes developing instructional text and diagrams linked to operational manuals and product documentation.

    Overall, this position requires the skills to explain complex oil industry conveyance products and services in a clear and concise manner along with the following general responsibilities:

    Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals

    Produce electronic and hard copy documentation as required

    Manage updates and revisions to technical literature

    Analyze documents to maintain content continuity of style

    Determine the needs of users of technical documentation

    This full - time job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    While largely a sedentary role; some duties at the client site may require the ability to use manual acuity or lift under 20 pounds.
