Impact Valuation Group is participating in DoD SkillBridge Program.  IVG has created a program to help military service members who are interested in entering the real estate appraisal industry. We have designed a training program that will equip service members with the necessary courses and trainee hours to become a Licensed or Certified Appraiser. The appraisal industry is in significant need of dedicated individuals who are committed to quality and excellence to enter the field of Residential Real Estate Appraising. This is a long term and rewarding career. 

Our residential real estate appraiser apprentice program is a 180 day apprenticeship that provides the skills and knowledge necessary for service members to get a start towards becoming a state licensed or certified real estate appraiser. Becoming an appraiser requires education and real world experience. In order to qualify for your appraiser apprentice license you must compete 75 hours or coursework (some states require more). The first two weeks of the SkillBridge program provide the time to complete this coursework. Once you have your appraiser apprentice license from the state in which you reside, you will need to gain a minimum of 1,000 hours of experience under a qualified supervisor that IVG will provide for you.  The DoD covers the service members pay and benefits during this time. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from IVG, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. We work with our apprentices from beginning to licensing. Even after your DoD SkillBridge apprenticeship is complete you have the option to continue working with IVG until you are able to become a fully licensed appraiser.
