    Imperative Recruiting (3rd party recruiting firm) is hiring on behalf of company:

    EMC Insights is seeking an Outreach Professional to join our team and support energy efficiency programs in Southern New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be located in New Jersey or greater Philadelphia area and serve as a key outreach resource for our team. The outreach Professional will primarily be in charge of educating the market about energy efficiency programs and increasing the awareness about all available incentives. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct market research to identify and engage with potential customers, contractors and organizations about various energy efficiency programs in the commercial, educational, public and industrial sectors.
    • Represent the program requirements thoroughly and accurately. · Recruit contractors to become approved trade allies and customers to participate in energy efficiency programs (i.e. generating leads).
    • Work with the team to set up monthly, quarterly, and annual outreach goals. · Prepare and leading presentations onsite or during webinars.
    • Working with the team to strategically target specific costumers, contractors, and organizations as part of the annual outreach and marketing plans.
    • Create periodic reports to provide regular updates about outreach efforts. · Attend industry events to engage with trade allies and customers to promote the program.
    • Enter all pertinent outreach data into a central database system. Maintaining and being responsible for the data.
    • Reinforce our commitment to clients and always being mindful of their satisfaction and future needs.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Local travel requirement is over 50% of time.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    This is a mid-level position and requires a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, energy management, business administration or related fields. The following qualifications are desired.

    • Experience supporting energy efficiency programs through electric and natural gas utilities.
    • The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, proactive, and self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for contributing to the sustainability movement.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and work closely with other project team members.
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    • Detail oriented, organized, and responsive to communications.
    • Exceptional customer Service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively and professionally with other business functions.
    • Demonstrated good working knowledge of MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • At least 3-5 years or related experience.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting and/or leading outreach efforts for retro-commissioning (RCx) and monitoring based commissioning (MBCx) programs.
    • HVAC sales and account management background.
    • Energy certification (e.g., Energy Efficiency Practitioner, Certified Energy Manager).
