    The North Star Community Partners are looking to add an experienced, organized and strategic professional to their core team to serve as Operations Manager for an emerging nonprofit based in the Northern St Louis area.

    Role Overview: We are looking for a professional and organized Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations on a daily basis.

    The Operations Manager main role is to implement the proper processes and practices across the organization, main duties will include formulating strategy, improving performance, managing budget and resources and ensuring compliance.

    Ultimately, we’re looking for a trustworthy candidate that will be able to help us remain compliant, efficient and thriving in our young organization.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

    • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

    • Assist CEO with preparing board documents and reports

    • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant

    • Assist CEO in formulating strategic and operational objectives

    • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability

    • Manage budgets and forecasts

    • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs

    • Manage employee relations and appropriate notification to leadership, if needed

    • Create and maintain employee records in compliance with all laws, including the employee handbook, scope of work, training plans, and organizational chart

    • Provide staff guidance and interpretation of all personnel policies and procedures

    • Supervise yearly inventory documentation of all technical equipment, databases, and software licensing as needed

    • Manage and oversee general office organization, supplies, purchasing, equipment, and inventory, including security, leases, contracts, insurance, vendors, and consultants

    • Oversee logistical needs for meetings and events, and staff travel accommodations

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 4+ years experience in operations management or HR generalist capacity

    • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or a related field

    • Experience with nonprofit organizations and basic accounting principles is a plus

    • Experience working in a startup environment highly preferred

    • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

    • A passion for the missions organization and the advancement of the St Louis community as a whole

    • Demonstrated ability to think and plan at a broad-based strategy level

    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and exercise confidentiality

    • Highly organized and self-motivated; consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    • Computer-savvy with an understanding of technology hardware, software, and databases

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite

    Salary: $70,000-$85,000

    Reports To: CEO

    Location: Candidates must be in the St Louis area. Hybrid work environment.
