Kubota is the leading manufacturer of compact, multi-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engines that now go up to 300 HP. Kubota Engine America Corporation (KEA) oversees the sale of engines, generators and service parts.
The Sales – Summer Intern is located in Lincolnshire, IL (north of Chicago).
Job Description Summary
The Sales Intern for OEM Direct Sales team is responsible for assisting the Sales Managers and Sr. Product Manager with day-to-day sales activities. In this position you will work with KEA’s direct OEM customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support KEA Sales Managers with their assigned daily work activities
- Communicate and maintain direct contact with KEA direct OEM accounts
- Assist KEA Sr. Product manager with marketing research activities
- Attend KEA application engineering adoption review meetings and assist with the engine adoption process
- Work with Sales Managers to prepare and send sales quotes to customers
- Work with KEA Sales Operations team to submit and process new engine orders from the time of order placement to final delivery and invoicing
- Gain an understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and competitive activity that effect current and future industrial engine market trends
- Assist Sales Managers in the development of sales and marketing forecasts for direct OEM accounts
- Assist with the implementation of KAPA 2.0 CRM sales system.
- Assist the Global Supply Chain Management team with documentation and research activities
- Communicate, organize, and maintain confidential information and material
- Support co-workers in other departments as needed
- Inform Manager of all noteworthy activities
- Follow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and procedures

Education and Training
- College major in business and/or engineering or industrial technology

Work Environment
- Work is performed in an office environment; no housing or transportation will be provided
- Noise level is moderate.
- Office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Limited exposure to the warehouse. Limited exposure to temperature variations when shipping doors are open
