Import Trade Specialist TCRS4441
HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Specialist will support import operations and ensure adherence to U.S. trade regulations. This role involves coordinating import activities, maintaining compliance documentation, and collaborating with brokers and internal teams for efficient customs clearance
The position is based in central Massachusetts, near Worcester.
EXPECTATIONS
- Accurately apply GRIs and chapter notes to assign HTS and Schedule B classification
- Determine Country of Origin
- Oversee import documentation, audits, and customs entry reviews to ensure compliance
- Provide shipment clearance instructions and regulatory guidance on CBP and PGA requirements
- Maintain international trade data and support classification database accuracy
- Assist with compliance programs (CTPAT, Section 301) and process automation initiatives
- Participate in risk assessment and trade compliance process improvements
ESSENTIALS
- Associate degree or 3–5 years’ experience in customs compliance
- Expertise in HS classification (U.S. and Canada), U.S. customs and export regulations
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
