TITLE: RN- EMERGENCY ROOM
DURATION: 3 MONTHS
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Care for Patients with a wide range of medical conditions such as COPD, CHF, DM, Sepsis, Renal, DKA, Alcohol withdrawal, Overdoses, Pneumonia, and well as other respiratory conditions. Some Neuro, Surgical or Cardiac Patients.
- Use past experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing policy and procedure and approved nursing techniques
- Prepares and operates specialized equipment needed in the care of the patient
- Assists physicians during treatments, procedures, and examinations
- Records and notifies Physician and appropriate healthcare professionals of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
- Provides care for patients and families or significant others across the life span based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served in the assigned service area
- Works with face mask ventilators, trachs, chest tubes, g tubes, NG Tubes, PICC Lines, and Central Lines
- May float to other units such as Tele or Intermediate units as needed
YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF:
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience
- 1-2+ years of recent ICU, Intermediate experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
- Bi-annual BLS certification.
- Emergency Communication RN (ECRN) certification within one year of service.
- Trauma Nurse Specialist/Trauma Nurse (TRS/TNCC) Course certification within one year of service.
- One to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or within one year of service and recertification biannually
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification within one year of service and recertification biannually.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience
- 1-2+ years of recent ICU, Intermediate experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
