TITLE: RN – CLINIC

DURATION: 3 MONTHS

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: TRAVEL OR LOCAL

DESCRIPTION: The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. The RN will collaborate with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. They must demonstrate competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care. Responsible for the planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Care for patient needs by assessing, implementing, and evaluating the patient
• Advocate for patient's needs and provides care to patients requiring treatment of illnesses, conditions, or chronic medical issues on a Med/Surg unit.
• Monitoring Vital Signs
• Ensuring operation of needed equipment such as IVs, feeding tubes, catheters, and oxygen tanks
• Communicating with patients and doctors
• Providing family support for patients
• Administering medications
• Running tests and assessments
• Documenting patient needs and progress
• Educating patients and families on individual needs

YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF:

• You have Clinic experience
• Be willing to float during the contract
• Day Shift

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• RN license
• CPR/ BLS

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Adhere to the legal regulations and organizational policies when discussing patient health information
• Coordinate and manage care for patients, including those with complex needs
• Offers effective feedback to patients and family members regarding health.
• Responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients, families, staff, residents, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for patients.

YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF:

• Current and unrestricted SD or Multistate RN License
• BLS/ACLS from the American Heart Association
• Computer Charting Experience
• 1 – Year recent Med Surg and Tele experience
• Willing and able to float to different MS and Tele Units as needed

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• RN License LA or Compact
• BLS/ACLS
• 1-year experience in Med Surg AND Tele
