HEALTHCARE ACTUARIAL ANALYST
We are looking for a skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our implementation team on an upcoming high level Implementation opportunity. You will support enterprise-wide category of service analysis and will be responsible for detailed analytics and reporting focused on inpatient and outpatient services. In addition, you will complete very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
- Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
- Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.
- Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes.
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
- Assist with developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information
- Analyze and evaluate required premium rates
- Develop and run data reports
- Assist with determining the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits
YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF:
- Health Plan Experience strongly preferred
- Required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams
- at least 3 years related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SAS or SQL required
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of actuarial experience and 3 passed actuarial exams or 3+ years of actuarial experience and 2 passed actuarial exams (or any combination of experience and exams that equals 5 or more)
