    We are looking for a qualified Network Technician to join our company in the Santa Barbara County region. Please note that those who are not located in the area should not apply. This is a full-time role in the office. The ideal candidate should know layer 1 and IP routing and switching well and be excited to gain more knowledge about fiber in both corporate and communication environments. Responsibilities: SUMMARY: Performs customer installations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Manage tickets and tasks in the 'Service Implementation' queue in our internal ticketing system • Perform pre-installation site evaluation • Document all site evaluation information in the corresponding ticket • Configure Hardware prior to installation and have it reviewed by Network Engineering. Apply asset tags Document all relevant hardware configuration information in the customer database • Install hardware at the customer premise • Provide preliminary training on Pulse Fiber service, SFP’s approved Adtran, and Juniper CPEs. Work through hardware integration into the customer LAN • Setup internal monitoring of all circuits and equipment • Procure monthly, quarterly, and yearly Jeep maintenance • Regular and predictable on-site attendance is a requirement to perform essential functions of this position Qualifications: • Experience with cabling, fiber, and punch-down blocks • Networking certifications are a plus • Network equipment configuration a plus Compensation: $23 - $30 hourly
