Job Summary
We are seeking a Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.
Responsibilities
As a Comfort Keeper, you’ll do more than assist with daily tasks — you’ll bring joy, companionship, and peace of mind to seniors and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
Light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and medication reminders
Companionship and engaging conversation
Encourage social engagement and meaningful activities
Personal care support: mobility, hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming if needed (training provided)
Provide safe transportation and running errands if needed
Ensure a safe and positive environment for clients
Document care notes and report changes in the client’s condition.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
High school diploma or GED required
Must be able to pass background checks (criminal and driving record)
Willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
Provide professional and personal reference check
Ability to travel within the Greater Lansing Area
Completion of Comfort Keepers' training and orientation program
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for client care and documentation
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with mobility if needed
