Saba Home Health is seeking dependable, highly professional non-medical caregivers / personal attendants for a private-home client needing assistance with daily living, safety supervision, companionship, and mobility support.
This is a Texas Personal Assistance Services position. The services are non-medical and unskilled. Caregivers will follow the agency care plan and will not perform skilled nursing tasks.
We are hiring for two consistent part-time positions:
Position A — Weekday Evening Caregiver Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–7:00 PM 20 hours per week
Position B — Weekend Day Caregiver Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM 24 hours per week
Applicants may apply for one or both schedules, but we are primarily seeking two consistent caregivers for continuity of care.
This is a W-2 hourly, non-exempt position. Overtime, if applicable, is paid in accordance with wage-and-hour requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal caregiver will be calm, patient, reliable, polished, and experienced working with older adults who need memory-care support, redirection, fall precautions, and hands-on assistance with daily activities.
Experience with dementia, memory loss, mobility assistance, transfers, toileting, bathing, dressing, and private-home care is strongly preferred.
Duties May Include Assistance with:
Safety supervision and fall precautions
Companionship and redirection
Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Transfers and ambulation support
Meal preparation
Light housekeeping related to the client’s care
Medication reminders only, if included in the care plan and allowed by agency policy
Following the written care plan and reporting changes or concerns to the agency
This position does not include skilled nursing, wound care, injections, medication administration, therapy, clinical assessments, or any task outside the agency’s service plan.
Professional Presentation Required
This is a private-home assignment with high expectations for professionalism, communication, reliability, and appearance.
Caregiver must be comfortable following agency dress code, including:
Clean scrubs or agency-approved attire
Closed-toe shoes
Neat grooming
Minimal jewelry
No strong fragrance
Limited personal phone use while on shift
Calm, respectful, professional communication
Visible tattoos covered while on shift
Visible facial piercings or non-essential facial jewelry removed or covered while on shift, unless an approved accommodation applies
This assignment is best suited for someone with a polished, traditional, client-facing presentation and excellent manners.
Requirements
Must be dependable and punctual
Must have caregiving experience
Dementia or memory-care experience strongly preferred
Must be comfortable assisting with mobility and fall precautions
Must pass required background checks
Must be able to follow agency policies and care plan
CNA experience is a plus, but not required
Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Pay: $12–$14/hour depending on experience, availability, and assignment fit. Higher end reserved for strong dementia/memory-care experience, weekend availability, reliability, and professional presentation.
PTO eligibility begins after completion of the 90-day introductory period and accrues according to company policy. Part-time PTO accrual is prorated based on hours worked. Health insurance and 401(k) eligibility are based on applicable plan terms, hours worked, and agency requirements.
