We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Direct Support Professionals to provide assistance to individuals in the comfort of their homes across New Jersey.
Position Overview: As an In-Home Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will assist individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, promoting independence and well-being. Your role will involve offering both physical and emotional support, helping individuals with tasks such as personal care, household chores, transportation, and community integration.
This position offers flexibility with part-time shifts available across the state of New Jersey. Whether you're looking to supplement your income or gain experience in healthcare and social services, this role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities:
Provide support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Help with light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
Offer transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with individuals in your care, ensuring their dignity and respect are upheld.
Support clients with medication reminders and ensure they follow their prescribed health plan.
Assist with social and recreational activities, encouraging community involvement.
Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Direct Support (CSP, PCA, etc.) is a plus.
Previous experience in caregiving, personal care, or a related field preferred.
Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license, as this role requires transportation of individuals to appointments and community activities.
Must pass a background check and have current references.
