Overview Assisting Hands Home Care South Jacksonville is hiring CNA and HHA caregivers to support clients living with Parkinson’s disease in their homes.

Caregivers provide one on one non medical care focused on safe mobility consistent routines and helping clients maintain confidence and independence at home.

Responsibilities

Assist with transfers and mobility support according to the care plan including gait belt use pacing and fall prevention

Support daily living activities including bathing dressing grooming and toileting as needed

Prepare simple meals with attention to texture or consistency based on the family care plan and encourage hydration

Provide medication reminders according to the care plan

Assist with scheduling routines transportation to appointments and errands when needed

Maintain a safe home environment with light housekeeping laundry and fall prevention practices

Provide companionship conversation and gentle engagement activities

Document care notes through the caregiver scheduling app and report changes such as fatigue fall risk or swallowing concerns

Requirements

Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide certification required

Current CPR certification

Valid driver license reliable vehicle and auto insurance

Experience assisting with mobility transfers and fall prevention

Completion of Florida state required home care courses
