Water Restoration Sales Representative — DryTech Restoration (NJ)
Type: Full-time • Field + phone • Local NJ travel Comp: commission on collected revenue (no cap)
About the Role Sell water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration projects. You work qualified leads from dispatch, partners, and existing accounts. No marketing duties, no content, no ad buying. Your job is to respond fast, scope with the team, present the estimate, and close.
What You’ll Do
Respond to new leads immediately; set and run on-site assessments
Document conditions (photos, moisture readings) and coordinate with estimator/PM on scope
Present estimates, handle objections, and secure signed work authorizations
Maintain clean pipeline in CRM with next step and date for every opp
Coordinate start dates with dispatch; hand off cleanly to operations
Conduct post-job follow-up for payment status, reviews, and repeat business
Participate in after-hours rotation for emergency calls (paid)
What You Won’t Do
No marketing campaigns, social media, or ad work
No cold creative projects; no referral marketing ownership
Requirements
2+ years in field sales or account management (restoration, remediation, roofing, HVAC, or trades preferred)
Strong on-site presence: comfortable in wet, dirty, or confined spaces when needed
Clear communicator; confident closing with homeowners, property managers, and adjusters
Organized and reliable with notes, appointments, and follow-through
Valid driver’s license; daily local travel
Nice to Have
Prior restoration experience; familiarity with water restoration
IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD) or willingness to obtain
Insurance claim process knowledge
How Success Is Measured (first 90 days)
Lead response: under 90 minutes during business hours
Close rate meets team benchmark (we’ll share the target)
Average ticket and gross margin at or above territory norms
