    Job Description

    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    • Draft, negotiate, and finalise a broad range of commercial contracts with U.S. and international counterparties.
    • Provide clear, practical advice to business stakeholders, balancing legal risk with commercial opportunity.
    • Act as the first point of contact for legal queries from the offices in North America, collaborating with senior management and escalating issues as appropriate.
    • Support cross-border transactions and projects, working closely with colleagues in London and across other international offices.
    • Contribute to the development of legal processes, playbooks, and templates that will enhance efficiency and consistency across the department.
    • Engage with compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives as the department expands.
  • Qualifications

    WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR

    • Contract drafting and negotiation experience (preferred)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, sales staff, administrative staff and senior management
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent communicator to all organization seniority levels
    • Comfortable with working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
    • A creative, problem-solving mindset, with demonstrated ability to turn ideas into products or actions
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Previous exposure to the sales bids process and previous experience with using a contract management system or other legal software.
    • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with prior in-house legal role/experience required.
    • Previous aviation industry experience is a plus

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Admitted to the New York State Bar (or in another state); equivalent legal experience considered
