Corporate / In-House Counsel for Automotive Dealership Group New/Used Vehicle Auto Group in Southern California seeks a qualified corporate / in-house counsel for multiple stores Responsibilities: • Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues • Advising executives within the company • Working alongside other departments within the company • Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals • Working alone or with other attorneys to prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenas • Drafting contracts, lease agreements, loan agreements, and other legal documents for clients • Drafting and reviewing agreements such as employment contracts, nondisclosure agreements, and non-compete agreements • Additional responsibilities as required by the organization Qualifications: • Must have a law degree from a recognized university • Must be admitted to the California State Bar • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization and across all businesses • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision • Must be willing and able to work on-site at our main office • Must be able to attend legal hearings/proceedings off-site when needed • Automotive industry experience is desired but not required Compensation: $150,000 - $300,000 yearly
