Fit2Run is seeking an energetic and community-focused in-store Community Specialist to lead outreach efforts and foster meaningful connections with the local running and fitness community while working part time as a Fit2Run Retail Associate and in conjunction with the Store Manager. This role is dedicated to part- time community efforts: securing race packet pickup partnerships, engaging with local run clubs, coordinating community outreach, organizing in-store events to enhance brand awareness and drive traffic to Fit2Run locations and part time, performing day to day retail sale associate duties in-store. Fit2Run is rapidly growing and looking to add retail sales associates needed for our Specialty Running store located within Atlanta, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities: This role would split their time between part-time Community Specialist and part-time as a Retail Sales Associate.
Community Engagement & Outreach:
● Establish and maintain strong relationships with local running groups, race directors, fitness organizations, and wellness businesses to create strategic partnerships.
● Work with Community Marketing Coordinator to secure in-store hosted race packet pickup partnerships with local races and running events, coordinating logistics and promotional efforts.
● Organize and execute in-store events, including group runs, training workshops, and brand activations to engage the community.
● Collaborate with local fitness professionals, coaches, and athletes to create unique experiences that resonate with the running community.
● Represent Fit2Run at races, expos, and community events, promoting the brand and fostering connections.
● Partner with the Fit2Run marketing team to develop and distribute promotional materials for events and community initiatives.
● Facilitate Dr’s Program including outreach, Dr’s night planning, and overall success of the program
● Assist with social media and digital content creation to amplify event promotion and community engagement.
● Track engagement metrics, event participation, and partnership effectiveness to continuously improve outreach efforts.
Retail Sales Floor:
● Assist cleaning and organizing of inventory in backroom
● Assist manager in keeping all footwear styles, insoles, and socks displayed and under the proper categories
● Maintain general cleanliness of department, e.g.- keeping floor swept and mopped, footwear wall waxed, and dust shoe shelves
● Ensure all footwear customers are measured, scanned, fit, and gait analyzed, and that all of the selling processes are performed.
● Perform gait analysis according to Fit2Run procedures
● Assist customers to the fullest of ability
● Assist customers that come in with prescription pads- fill prescriptions according to podiatrists' recommendation. Reference manager for assistance.
● If necessary, help customers with other department purchases, or lead them to employees in other departments
● Always try to sell corresponding accessories with purchases, e.g.- socks and insoles with footwear. Also refer customers to all other areas of store in order to maximize sales.
● Assist in keeping entire store clean
● Follow all Fit2Run policies and procedures
● Follow Opening/Closing checklists
● Ensure all customers are being assisted
Qualifications:
● Passion for running, fitness, and community engagement.
● Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
● Excellent organizational and event-planning abilities.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events
● Social media proficiency is a plus.
● Enthusiasm for connecting people and fostering an inclusive fitness community.
● Retail experience preferred
