Certified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Representative

We also have Temporary 2 month assignments with Bonus upon completion.

FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST / CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT - Job description but not limited to: Under the direction of a Provider and Clinical Manager, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), assists in the delivery of Healthcare for patients. Our CMAs are Multifunctional that perform a wide variety of duties that will own and focus on the Front desk giving the patients the best experience - Clinical / Back Office duties as needed.

Job Duties:

Ability to work 12 hours shifts during the week and at least 3 weekend day shifts of 8 hours.

The ideal CMA candidate has a commitment to service and quality, can effectively maintain relationships with patients and medical staff,

Can perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced often stressful environment.

Must be familiar with medical terminology, sensitivity to confidential matters is required. I

Interviewing incoming patients prior to admission to gather demographic, insurance and emergency information,

Ensuring completion of paperwork and explaining facility policies.

Patient Account Representative duties include:

Collecting copayments;

answering phones;

assisting family members;

conducting research for prior medical records and account folders;

data entry;

insurance verification;

handling multi-phone line;

proficient in handling monies;

organized, driven and goal oriented.

Medical Assistant Back Office Clinical duties as needed include but not limited to:

Maintaining clinical records/documentation;

administering medications;

giving injections;

taking vital signs;

phlebotomy;

preparing patients for tests, procedures, data entry;

participating in the Occupational Medicine Program which includes providing services as part of our Mobile Van Care Team.

Required Qualification:

H.S. Diploma required

Certified Medical Assistant required

Phlebotomy - 2 years

BLS Certification required

Minimum of 2 years of CMA experience in urgent care and lab setting preferred

2 years of Patient Registration
