    Job Summary: As our Director of School Based Therapy, you will be responsible for building a team and providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to a group of therapists and counseling professionals located at school districts throughout New Jersey. Your primary objective will be to build and implement the region's first hybrid school-based mental health program in coordination with our technology, psychiatry, and operations leadership team. This role will begin with setting the infrastructure for the organization's school-based therapy program that will include on-site therapeutic staffing and intervention delivered with InSite's Wellness Platform resources. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, administrators, and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective mental health programs at K-12 schools across New Jersey and build out a team of regional and site based teams to deliver the hybrid care program.

    What You’ll Do:

    Manage the interview process and hiring process for the statewide school-based mental health program in New Jersey (start with holding a caseload and then by Spring 2024 transition to 80%+ admirative role).

    Oversee operations and day-to-day management and clinical oversight for all school-based mental health programs (therapy and counseling located on school campuses).

    Implement outcomes based tracking and metrics to ensure the maintenance of high clinical quality for school based programs.

    Promotes Social Work Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.

    Leads the activities of assigned Social Work Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.

    Provides management and leadership to team members of Social Work Services by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.

    Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the system.

    Assists in screening applicants for social work positions.

    Assists staff in formulating and implementing psychosocial treatment plans based on patient and family needs.

    Meets with staff social workers to review caseloads; assists staff in examining clinical, administrative, and ethical issues.

    Monitors time, charting and statistics of social work staff in accordance with departmental criteria; participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences.

    Performs psychosocial assessments of patients and families; identifies patients needing psychosocial services.

    Interviews patients and families, when necessary, to assess family structure, dynamics, adjustments to illness and access to necessary resources; identifies medical problems and predicts course; educates patients and families about community resources and discharge and planning procedures.

    Participates in internal and external committees and workgroups that require social work expertise and best practice input.

    What You’ll Need:

    LCSW with active NJ state licensure to supervise.

    Valid license to practice psychotherapy.

    5 + years of proven leadership experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting leading teams in a multi-site and remote environment.

    3+ years’ experience in managing teams of clinicians in a behavioral health context. Experience with school-based care is a plus.

    Experience in working with remote teams or overseeing multi-site outpatient care is highly desirable.

    Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

    Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

    Experience in managing budgets and resources.

    Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
