    _ Job Title: Accounting Associate II_

    _ Location: Lexington, KY_

    ** Position Overview**

    Under limited supervision responsible for performing routine office support duties in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accounting in support of the DUF6 project sites. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities of support in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

    ** Functional:**

    • Checks, verifies, and posts journal vouchers
    • Maintains financial data files
    • Prepares journal entries and data system documents for payment
    • Prepares cost accruals
    • Ensures the accuracy of subcontractor timekeeping, invoices and expense reports
    • Assigns general ledger account numbers and determines taxability/exemption from sales and use tax with regard to purchase requisitions
    • Audits expense report reimbursements
    • Utilizes current Kentucky and Ohio regulatory and administrative requirements to ensure sales and use tax compliance
    • Prepares backup and audit trails for auditors for accounts payable and sales and use tax transactions
    • Tracks legal costs
    • Performs data entry of subcontractor payments
    • Prepares IRS 1099 forms

    ** Competencies:**

    • Possesses strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with moderate attention-to-detail
    • Administers senior level written and verbal communication skills
    • Possesses senior level PC skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
    • Conveys the ability to apply organizational practices, policies and procedures
    • Maintains the judgment and discretion to properly discern and safeguard highly-sensitive information and documents, including company-proprietary information, and classified or otherwise sensitive national security information

    ** Minimum Requirements:**

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

    Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
