JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibility of the Placement Coordinator is to secure high quality field placement sites that meet the university's field requirements and match the academic needs of students.

Target Salary: $17 - $21/ HR.

To ensure student success through on-time placement, essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Meet established placement goals (individual and team goals) 
• Manage placement process for graduate online students
• Develop new partnerships with social service agencies in different regions of the country
• Match students with agencies that meet academic requirements and student preferences
• Maintain professional communication with university partners 
• Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with students via phone and/or email 
• Adhere to company policies
• Adhere to data privacy regulations

Minimum Qualifications  

• Bachelor degree from a regionally accredited institution  
• Experience working in higher education with undergraduate or graduate students
• Experience in a fast-paced metrics driven environment 
• Technology skills in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for word processing, spreadsheet, database, electronic mail and internet applications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience matching students with a field placement 
• Experience providing outstanding customer service  
• Results-oriented and self-motivated for exceeding individual and team goals 
• Comfortable communicating and establishing rapport in a professional manner via phone and email
• Able to work autonomously and has an enthusiastic “go-getter” attitude, strong customer service skills, and always strives to exceed KPIs
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment 
• Comfortable learning new technology tools
• A team mentality and a can-do attitude with an ability to embrace uncertainty with poise

Work Environment

This position is through a virtual work environment. Our employees enjoy the freedom and flexibility of working from home. The requirements for success in a virtual work-at-home role include:

• Workspace – Must be able to provide a dedicated, confidential workspace which includes a door that can be closed for privacy
• Multitasking – Ability to navigate or toggle many screens and maintain chat conversations simultaneously
• High speed internet – Must provide employee-paid, high speed internet service (5MB or higher connection speed); no dial-up or satellite dish connections
• Must have a working desktop or laptop that is supported by Mac or Windows operating systems
