We are a small, but rapidly growing, Family Law Firm in San Diego, California, looking for a Salesperson with CONSULTATIVE sales experience, preferably Spanish bilingual, but not required. We help people end an unfulfilled marriage, heal their families, and find hope for the future again. We want a salesperson with a proven track record of success, not just a resume of jobs held. This position, referred to as a Client Engagement Specialist, is responsible for conducting sales conversations to identify the potential client’s problem or opportunity, and when appropriate, selling them “solutions” that our Firm provides. This is not a "Customer Service" position. Please do not apply if you do not have extensive B2C sales, client-building relationship experience, and experience selling services of at least $10,000 per up-front sale (not on a contract basis). This position isn't about you, your self-esteem, or ego - it is about our potential clients and providing them solutions. You will receive a base pay ($50,000 -$56,000) with ample opportunity to earn ongoing paid incentives for your job performance and onboarding new clients (if goals are met, another $20,000), and company profit sharing if the firm's goals are met. Do not call our office, please. This is a mostly remote position - must be able to come to the office in San Diego for training, on a limited basis, and travel out-of-state for training. Potential clients reach out to us for help with complex problems, and we believe that we have an obligation to help them find a solution. Most of the time, our solutions just happen to be in the form of providing legal services. We will never ask you to sell anything to anyone if it is not in that person’s best interest. There is no cold calling or using your personal network. The people interested in our services are contacting us. If you have the mindset that sales are to help people, please apply! Every problem clients have is an opportunity for us to help! If you truly want to help people solve complex problems and can approach conversations with maturity and sensitivity, then this position can be highly rewarding to you personally, professionally, and financially. While we strongly support personal and professional development, we prefer an experienced salesperson for this role; however, we will provide you with all the training you need to know so you can best help clients. We are looking for a results-oriented team player who wants to have a positive impact on people’s lives while helping us grow our business. The person we hire must bring a high level of energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude to work every day. We are Big believers in the value of a team, and we value our firm culture. We collaborate and support each other. We are looking for individuals with fire and ambition. We believe in consultative selling where we help our prospective new clients make sense of their situation, weigh their options, and make important and often difficult decisions. We see the sale as the beginning of a long-term relationship with our prospective clients. If you are interested in a career (we really think of it as more of a “calling”) that offers performance bonuses, competitive benefits, training, professional development, respect, and fuel for your soul because we’re really helping people, then please apply. We will ask you to complete a brief written interview before scheduling a recorded practice sales call and an in-person interview. We do this to ensure that you can read, write, and think critically. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. You will receive a base salary with ample opportunity to earn paid incentives for your job performance. Benefits include profit sharing if you and the firm meet its goals, paid holidays, paid time off, contributions to health, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, life, and disability coverage, and the option to participate in our retirement savings plan with an employer match. If you are looking for a high-energy and positive team environment with lots of growth potential, then look no further. Responsibilities: • Conduct sales conversations to identify problems and sell solutions • Oversee the client onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition to the legal team • Follow up with potential new clients to help them come to a decision about moving forward and hiring our Firm • Track and report metrics relating to marketing sales conversion data • Maintain records and enter critical data into the firm’s systems • Develop, Maintain, and Nurture relationships with our referral partners • Participate in training programs and always learn and improve your skills Qualifications: • A consistent, proven, top performer in consultative sales - we want to see metrics, numbers, not just flowery language on a resume. • You are an organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented self-starter who loves contributing to your team’s goals • You love talking and meeting with prospects, presenting to them, closing the deal, and asking for referrals • Follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures • Be a team player who consistently acts with respect and integrity • Be tech savvy (we use law firm systems and cloud-based software) • Have a growth mindset, be open to feedback and constructive criticism, always open to learning more and how to improve your skills. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE NO ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, THIS IS NOT THE POSITION FOR YOU. Our firm culture is always looking for ways to do things differently and improve our knowledge and skills. • You will be required to have a home office/space where you can quietly AND CONFIDENTIALLY have calls with potential clients via telephone or Zoom. Real-life experience and a few “battle scars” providing empathy and understanding are assets. Experience overcoming a major obstacle and making important changes in your life, so you know at your core that others can do it too, is a plus. Our Inbound Sales Representative does Not give legal advice, so legal experience is not required. Prior sales and customer service experience are required because we can teach you our process for engagement and how our services help clients, but we can’t teach you how to take initiative, be empathetic, demonstrate ownership, and be confident. Compensation: $25 - $27 hourly
