Job Description

Under the general direction of the Logistics Supervisor and responsible for supporting the Norman OK and Wichita KS locations; Ensure the flow of raw material in compliance with all transportation, legal and customs regulations. The basic objectives of this position are to ensure the arrival of the materials on time controlling transportation costs in compliance with internal and external processes, policies, and regulations and to provide guidance to internal and external customers about processes and needs to move domestic or international shipments.

• Coordinate Logistics for Inbound Domestic, International and Premium Freight shipments in and out of OTM.
• Create Shipment request into OTM for Suppliers or Customer not onboarded.
• Monitor shipments in transit status (make sure materials are not in hold at the terminal or for missing customs clearance)
• With the support of purchasing group, to monitor OTM data entered by giving visibility of what is pending to be entered into the system that avoid the proper tracing of the loads.
• Conduct competitive bidding when the JCI Routing Guide is not applicable.
• Provide proactive communication with internal and external customers.
• Be the point of contact between Carrier, Customs broker, Materials, Purchasing, Trade Compliance, and all other areas that need to be involved to make a shipment to successfully flow.
• Prepare logistics documents requested for shipping (when needed) such as but not limited to packing list, BOL, Letters of Approvals, ETC.
• Adhere to Transportation, Finance and Trade Compliances policies and procedures.
• Develop and keep updated SOP and Work Instructions for Inbound Operation

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience
• Bilingual: Strong English/Spanish highly preferred
• Experience with US and MX Customs Import & Export.
• Solid Knowledge with International and Domestic shipping experience
• Communication Skills, capable to create good inter-functional rapport.
• Effective analytical and problem-Solving skills
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Effective organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work.
• Acknowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
